I have personally been up 6 of them (all but the two North side).
http://www.biciveneto.it/Resources/Grappa%20routes.jpg
Salto della Capra probably being the toughest, but the Possagno route is extremely difficult too.Toddhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16663155133923760243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-172202953319134786.post-27713249775063611082010-05-25T11:19:59.654-07:002010-05-25T11:19:59.654-07:00I have done all the climbs up Grappa but the two f...I have done all the climbs up Grappa but the two from the Seren Del Grappa side. Pretty amazing that they can pave roads this tight & steep. This entire area is such a cycling paradise words fail but bring some climbing gears. This stuff is steep like you can't imagine. On your rest days you can walk thru the trenches, caves that were used in the defence of the mountain.
ian from Canadaian stewarthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01127806348542719547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-172202953319134786.post-70252643720019727122010-03-27T09:48:47.454-07:002010-03-27T09:48:47.454-07:00Thank you for this very insightful and inspiring a...Thank you for this very insightful and inspiring article. A small detail, perhaps, but please note that approx. 600,000 Italian soldiers perished between 1915-1918. Perhaps the number you quoted applied to those lost in this particular area. I know this isn't a historical site, but it's necessary to give the memory of the deceased and their families proper credit due to them.
Anyway, thx for this site and all the best.wilierguynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-172202953319134786.post-87758932075502872602010-03-26T12:34:31.594-07:002010-03-26T12:34:31.594-07:00Mt Grappa is a terrific climb (and descent).
