More interesting to me than who wins ...Nice story. More interesting to me than who wins it, is "how did they win it?" While some climbers have won it by sailing away from the peloton and scoring sensational stage wins like Chiapucci in '91, while others like Pineau grind and scrap on intermediate climbs then struggle to the finish each day having earned their polka dot points. I think I prefer the grinders because I can kid myself and say I have something in common with them, having to scrap for every little bit of success in any given race.
