As previously reported the Giro d'Italia will start in Torino with a 22 km team time trial on May 7, 2011.
Details of the finish have now also now been announced. The Giro will conclude on May 29, 2011, returning to its traditional finish in Milano after having finished in Verona this year. The race will conclude with a individual time trial from Piazza Castello to Piazza Duomo.
"The Giro was born here," said the Mayor of Milan Letizia Moratti. "This is a city passionate about cycling. It will be a race of great symbolic value in the year of celebrations for the unification of Italy."
