Today's stage, with the start in Urbino (above), has the profile of a saw with constant ups and downs in the Appenines of Macerata and Fermo. Short climbs and technical descents are the order of the day.

Passo della Cappella 2ª m 772 – km 118; includes 4 km of dirt road with 9% average and sections reaching 15%.
Montelupone 3ª m 251 – km 154.7
Montegranaro 3ª m 241 – km 176.5
