CT, January, 2010

"CT" (for Cicloturismo/GranFondo) is a very good monthly Italian cycling magazine. Don't let the title fool you as it covers all aspects of cycling (except pro racing for which the publisher has "BS-BiciSport"; there is also "MTB" for mountain bikers).

Every issue numbers in excess of 200 pages. I thought it would be interesting to give you a sense of the types of articles that appear each month. With 200+ pages there is a lot of ground covered so I'll just choose what has caught my eye.

With the Maratona dles Dolomites fully subscribed (the situation every year; you have to plan early!) the editors recommend the GF Coppi.

The climb of Monte Grappa is reviewed. It will be new to the Pinarello Cycling Marathon (ex-Granfondo Pinarello), and it will also be in Stage 14 of the Giro d'Italia this year. Monte Grappa also holds a special place in the history of the "Alpini" soldiers which you can read at this previous blog entry. The WWI memorial at the summit is breathtaking.

A review of the Passoni "Top Force W" model; 11,400 euro.

An article about Power Cranks.

Again, there are many more articles...these are just a few.

Stories for the Italian Cycling Journal welcome; contact me at veronaman@gmail.com. There are more than 1,100 stories in this blog. The search feature to the right works best for finding subjects in the blog and there is also a translate button at the bottom so that you can translate each page.
