This approach to the summit of the Passo dello Stelvio will be raced during stage 19 of this year's Giro d'Italia. It will be the second of three climbs on May 24th.
The climb to the summit from the Prato dello Stelvio side with its 48 switchbacks is a little more "entertaining" in my opinion; a photo series here.
