Lance Armstrong Training and New Bike

Ivan Basso is in Venice training for the time trial. Lance Armstrong is near Aspen, Colorado, training on dirt roads, and has a new bike being prepared; he says his collarbone feels good even on the dirt roads.

18 days, 16 hours to the Giro!

Lance Armstrong Hinting World Record Attempt?

On February 1st, Lance wrote on twitter, "Why not?" and linked to the photo above. He hasn't made any additional comments about the bike or its purpose since then.

Is this a clue that he is thinking about an hour world record attempt? Rumors about an hour record attempt at the new track being built in Montichiari (Brescia) surfaced last month, including comments by Francesco Moser. See my story, photos, and a virtual video tour of the new track at: http://italiancyclingjournal.blogspot.com/2009/01/armstrong-new-velodrome-in-montichiari.html
