"La Mitica" is a new vintage bike event in the land of Serse and Fausto Coppi. The date is Sunday, July 1, 2012, and there are two courses starting in Castellania of 46 km and 87 km. The organizers have planned activities from Friday evening beginning with a dinner, to activities on Saturday that in include a vintage bike exhibition and swap meet. The highlight might very well be dinner at the Casa Coppi on Saturday evening (separate reservation required).

We have no "bici di epoca" over here yet but this is on our "to do" list for the future. We'll be busy with our Legendary Climbs of the Giro tour at this time in any case but its wonderful to see more events of this type come along - they really seem to foster the atmosphere that got us into cycling in the first place all those years ago.
