In Part I we reported that for the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Giro d'Italia the , cycling club ASD 1001 MI.SAV, in collaboration with A.R.I. (Audax Randonneur Italia), would be organizing a replica (in parts) of the first stage of the 1909 Giro d'Italia on May 17th.
The event did indeed take place, beginning at the original start time of 2:53 a.m. and at the original start location of Piazza Loreto in Milano. The control, and rest stop, was in Induno Olona, the birthplace of Luigi Ganna, winner of the 1909 Giro d'Italia.
