Colnago C59 150, Unification of Italy Edition
We were just wondering if any of the bicycle manufacturers would have a 150th anniversary of Italian unification model.
First, apparently, is Colnago with their C59 150. The C59 150 will be a special edition, not limited in numbers but only be available until the end of the year; production will cease beginning next year.
The frame uses a design that completely integrates Shimano's Di2 electronic gruppo with the frame, including having the battery inside the frame.
Note: someone emailed me from the Taipei show and said the price is said to be about 15,000 euro.

Gorgeous - but SO MUCH NICER if it was equipped with components from a maker in the country doing the celebrating, don't you think? Ernie is proud to put "Made in Italy" on the frames actually made in Italy, so why complete this bike with anything other than Campagnolo? (Disclaimer: We're horribly biased and fortunate to have Campagnolo as an official supplier)
