Giro d'Italia Video Game
The 2011 Giro d'Italia will also usher in a Giro d'Italia video game, the "Pro Cycling Manager-Giro d'Italia 2011". It will be be introduced in Italy at the start of the Corsa Rossa. The game has been created in a partnership between between RCS SportLa Gazzetta dello Sport and Halifax (Gruppo Digital Bros).
Pro Cycling Manager-Giro d'Italia 2011 is a complete cycling management simulation with all the official teams, riders, sponsors, the faithful reproduction of all stages of the Giro. It includes the official voices of the sports commentators, including Andrea De Luca and Paolo Savoldelli from the race motorcycles. Players will be able to play the role of the team manager, being responsible for all aspects of daily management of a team including formation of the team, the choice of tactics and strategies, financial aspects and planning the schedule of workouts.
I've spoken with Halifax and they confirm that Pro Cycling Manager-Giro d'Italia will only be available in Italian.
Time to say goodbye to the old style game boards:

Stories for the Italian Cycling Journal about rides, granfondos, having a good time cycling in Italy, Italian cycling history, etc. are always welcome. Contact me at veronaman@gmail.com. There are more than 1,700 stories in this blog. The search feature to the right works best for finding subjects in the blog. There is also an Italian weather widget along the right side and a translate button at the bottom so you can translate each page. What I'm riding.
