Pinarello, from Treviso, is producing a limited edition of Alejandro Valverde's race bike. It's not a new design as its is based upon the Prince Carbon FP model but the paint scheme is what is special. The bike's custom paint scheme is in Spain's national colors and commemorates Valverde’s Spanish national championship title. A week after winning the national championship Valverde and Pinarello unveiled his new bike at the 2008 Tour de France.
The head tube includes the words, "Don Alejandro, Prince of Spain"
I like it, even if I'm much more of a steel guy.
