The Meaning of "928" on Bianchi
Have you ever wondered if there was a significance to the "928" designations in the Bianchi models?
There is! 1949, 1952, 1998: these are the years in which Bianchi won both the Giro and the Tour. Fausto Coppi won both races in 1949 and 1952 as did Marco Pantani in 1998.
Stories for the Italian Cycling Journal about rides, granfondo, having a good time cycling in Italy, Italian cycling history, etc. are very welcome. Contact me at veronaman@gmail.com.
