New Fondriest TF2: Integrated Cable System
The newest version of the Fondriest TF2 will have what is called the "Integrated Cable System Fondriest" which is patent pending.
The research laboratory of Esperia Group developed the new system for integrating cables within the new Fondriest TF2 frame. Fondriest is the “racing” brand which joined the Esperia Group in 2006.
By means of special sheaths integrated into the frame the shift cables for the front and rear derailleurs are always protected and clean. To ensure minimal friction the cables inside the frame pass under a special guide placed over the bottom bracket (photo); the design of the channels and the type of material used improves the movement of the cables during shifting.
The Fondriest brand was begun by Maurizio Fondriest. During his 12 seasons as a professional cyclist he had 69 victories. The winner of the World Championships at the young age of 23, he won the world cycling cup in ‘91 and ’93, the mythical Milano-San Remo in 1993, and collected countless successes during his career both in traditional championships as well as stages in the Giro d’Italia and the Tour de France.
