September 8: One of my favorite rides takes me to the area of Asbury in Warren County. There is still lots of farmland in western NJ and little traffic if you know the back roads. Most of the roads are paved using the "chip seal" process (http://www.slurry.com/cont_chipseal.shtml) so a bike that rides comfortably is a plus. There are some very hard climbs (Ludlow Station Road, Old Iron Bridge Road) to challenge yourself or you can ride along the ridges and take in the valley views.
