As a run-up to the UCI Women's Road World Cup series opener later in the month in Cittiglio a round table of past and present stars of Italian women's cycling took place there on March 7th. The event, "Bici e Mimosa", was a huge success.
Representing the past were Florinda Parenti, Morena Tartagni, Giuditta Longari, Mary Cressari, Denise Turazzi, Gianna Brovedani, Giuseppina Banchini, Giovanna Oriani, Raffaella Micheletti, Elisabetta Maffeis, Patrizia Cassani, Florinda Parenti, Giuditta Longari, Marielisa Giucolsi, Ivana Panzi and Graziella Dal Bello, and Maria Canins via conference call from Alta Badia.
Representing current riders were Noemi Cantele, Sigrid Corneo, Edita Pucinskaite, Marta Vilajosana, Silvia Valsecchi, Marina Romoli, Silvia Tirado, Veronica Andreasson, Saneila Biagi, and Ketty Visconte.
A photographic exhibit was presented by Diego Franzetti (whose father, Romeo Franzetti, started the Romeo bicycle brand in 1935).
