Museo Alfredo Binda

My first knowledge of Alfredo Binda came about through the ownership of a pair of Alfredo Binda toe straps (used in the age Before Clipless Pedals). Binda won the Giro d'Italia in 1925, 1927, 1929, 1930 and 1933; and, was also world champion three times.

A small museum, Museo Alfredo Binda, is located in Cittiglio (Varese). The most important items in the exhibit are the two bikes he used to win the world championships in 1927 and 1932. The first women's race, the Trofeo Binda, in the UCI World Championship series will be held in Cittiglio at the end of the month.

Hours: March through September, Saturdays and Sundays, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00pm
