Cigno is an Italian firm known for its integrated padlock style locks for bikes. In 2007 it launched "Cigno la Bicicletta" for the purpose of making vintage style, handcrafted, city bikes using modern materials and parts.
The 2009 Special Edition with chrome finish will be produced in a limited edition of 100; 50 men's and 50 women's bikes. The bikes are steel (Italian), lugged, and are hand welded. To obtain chrome plating of the highest quality each frame goes through a process of copper plating, nickel plating and finally chrome plating.
The bikes also feature custom made rear bags, handgrips, and a newspaper holder.
