The race begins tomorrow at 3:40pm local with an individual time trial of 8.7 km in Herning. The course and elevation:
Here ex-pro Stefano Zanini (in pink) joins a member of the Gazzetta dello Sport for a recon. Zanini describes the first part as technical, and the latter part as open to the wind . In the video (preceded by promo) you can see team riders practicing on the course and more:
Orlando Maini, sport director for Lampre-ISD, has this to say about what he says is the key point of the time trial course, "The sector from 4 km to go to 2 km to go will be the key moment: it's a large road with a slight elevation gain and it is exposed to the wind. So, only riders with strong legs will be able to realize a high speed there."
