Campagnolo NA 2nd Annual Toy Drive and Fun Ride

Put it on your calendar! Campagnolo North America's 2nd annual Toy Drive and Fun Ride to benefit Rady Children's Hospital San Diego and the San Diego Health and Human Services Foster Care Program will be taking place on Saturday, December 12th, 2009.

They ask you to bring a new unwrapped toy for children infant to 17 years of age; they will be collecting toys leading up to the event and the day of the event.

Toy collection and ride start will be in front of their offices in Carlsbad (CA), 5431 Avenida Encinas. There will be plenty of parking in the office complex and adjacent business parks to accommodate as many people as we can attract.

On the day of the event donations will be accepted and there be refreshments and food starting at 7:30 am. The ride will depart at 9:00 am. There are 2 distances for the ride, one 30 flat miles and one about 45 miles with a couple climbs.

Any and all are invited to attend. Riding is not required, the more the merrier.
Volunteers are more then welcome!

"We are looking forward to making a lot of children's' Holiday Season brighter!"

note: Campagnolo North America Toy Drive ride is a non sanctioned ride. All riders ride at their own risk.

A nice gesture from our friends at Campagnolo North America. We can't make the ride but wanted to contribute to the effort. Campy NA boss Tom Kattus replied -

"Ciao Larry,
Thanks for your consideration! If you’d like to contribute; you can make your check payable to Andreas Knickman Cancer Fund. Andreas is the son of ex pro bike racer Roy Knickman and he is battling for his life and is 6 months into treatment for bone cancer; he’s currently in Children’s Hospital in LA. We will have a contribution box for him at our event to help the Knickmans with the exorbitant expenses of fighting cancer. Thanks again!"
