Italian Roberto Ferrari (Androni Giocattoli Venezuela) won the 255km Stage 11 in 6:49:05 at an average speed of 37.840 km/h. Yes, the same Ferrari that caused the
Stage 3 crash and for which Cavendish wanted him ejected from the race. Coming 2nd, 3rd and 4th were Francesco Chicchi (Omega Pharma – QuickStep), Tomas Vaitkus (Orica GreenEdge) and Mark Cavendish (Sky Procycling).
